Rules for Playing Omaha Hi-LO/Omaha 8 or Better
In Omaha Hi-Lo/Omaha 8 or Better, 1 player with Highest 5 Card Poker Hand and 1 Player with Lowest 5 Card Poker Hands Win the Pot. In order to win the Lowest Hand, you must have at least 5 Cards of 8 or Better or 8 or Lower.
Tips for Winning the Lowest Hand in Omaha Hi-Lo/ Omaha 8 or Better: Make sure that 5 Community Cards on the boards have at least 3 Cards of 8 or Better or 8 or Lower.
In Omaha Poker, 4 Hole Cards are dealt to all players and 5 Community Cards are dealt on the table. 5 Community Cards include 3 Flop Cards, 1 Turn Card and 1 River Card.
Before the Game Starts:
Blinds Bets are posted. 1st Player left to the dealer posts the SMALL BLIND BET and 2nd player left to the dealer posts BIG BLIND BET.
4 Hole Cards are dealt to all players.
1st Betting Round Starts
Flop Cards (3 Faced Up Cards) are dealt on the table.
2nd Betting Round Starts
1 Turn Card (1 Faced Up Card) is dealt on the table.
3rd Betting Round Starts
1 River Card (1 Faced Up Card) is dealt on the table.
Final Betting Round Starts
The Show Down:
Players use 2 out of their 4 Hole Cards in combination with 3 out of the 5 Community Cards to make their Best 5 Cards Poker Hand. The pot is shared between the 2 players. One half of the pot is awarded to the player having the Highest 5 Cards Poker Hand and the other half part is awarded to the player having the Lowest 5 Cards Poker Hand.
NOTE: If no player qualifies for the Lowest 5 Cards Poker Hand, the entire pot is awarded to the player having the Highest 5 Cards Poker Hand.
